Advertising disclosure

How we work

addictiveposts publishes two kinds of story, and we label them so you never have to guess which is which.

Opinion pieces

  • They respond to reporting from tier-1 US news outlets. The sources are linked at the end of every piece.
  • They are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by our editors before publication.
  • They are labelled "Opinion" above the headline. No brand pays for them and none has approved them.

Paid stories

  • They are labelled Advertisement · Paid for by [Brand] above the headline and on every listing.
  • The brand reviews the story and is responsible for the accuracy of product claims.
  • Links to a brand's store carry tracking parameters so the brand can measure whether the story led to a sale.
  • Paid stories never imply independent testing or present an ad as journalism.

What we won't do

  • Publish health, financial or performance claims that cannot be substantiated.
  • Use fake reviews, invented testimonials, countdown timers or fake stock counters.
  • Show display advertising, pop-ups or any content that isn't the story you came to read.

We follow the FTC's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255) and its guidance on native advertising, and the content policies of the advertising networks we use. Questions: hello@addictiveposts.com.
